The objects for which the Federation is established are :
  • Not Trade Union

    To do all such other acts, deeds and things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objects or any of them, provided that the Federation shall not support with its funds any object or endeavor to impose or procure to be observed by its members or others any regulation, restrictions or condition which, if any object of the Federation, would make it a Trade Union.

  • Application of income and property

    The income and property of the Federation whensoever derived shall be applied solely for the promotion of the objects of the Federation as set forth in this Memorandum of Association and no portion thereof shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividend,bonus or otherwise howsoever by way of profit to the members of the Federation provided that nothing herein contained shall prevent the payment in good faith of remuneration to any officer, member or servant of the Federation or to any other person in return for any services actually rendered to the Federation, provided further that no member of the Committee of the Federation shall be appointed to any salaried office of the Federation or any office of Federation paid by fees and no remuneration shall be given by the Federation to any member or the Committee of the Federation except repayment of out-of pocket expenses-and interest on money lent, or rent for premises demised to the Federation, provided further that this provision shall not apply to any payment to any railway, gas or electric lighting, water or telephone company of which a member of the Committee of the Federation may be a member or any other company in which such member shall.hold shares and such member shall not be bound to account for any share of profits he may receive in respect of such payment. This clause contains the condition on which a license is granted by the local Government to the Federation in pursuance of Section 26 of the Indian Companies Act, 1913.

  • Liability of Members

    The Liability of the Members is limited.

  • Liability on winding up

    Every member of the Federation undertakes to contribute to the assets of the Federation in the event of the same being wound up during the time that he is a member or within one year afterwards for payment of the debts and liabilities o the Federation contracted before the time at which he ceases to be a member and of the costs, charges, and expenses of winding up the same and for the adjustments of the rights of contributions amongst themselves such amount as may be required not exceeding Rs. 1000 or in case of his liability becoming unlimited, such other amount as may be required.

  • Disposal of property after winding up

    If upon the winding up or dissolution of the Federation there remains after the satisfaction of all its debts and liabilities any property whatsoever the same shall not be paid to or distributed amongst the members of the Federation but shall be given or transferred to such other institution or institutions or Associating Company or Federation having objects similar to the objects of the. Federation to be determined by the members of the Federation at or before the time of dissolution or in default thereof by the High Court of Bombay, and if and so far as effect cannot be given to the aforesaid provision them to some charitable object.
